Vision So Far

Sharing Is Sexy.com is a new group, still forming, open to new members.

Our vision is:

   * a free, copyleft, open publishing porn website

   * a space for queer, transgender, people of color, differently abled
     people, people of all sizes, polyamorous people, plushies, furries, doms
     and othered bodies

   * an experimental attitude because most of us have not yet been sex workers

   * rejecting categories of sexual expression

   * a consensus based group where we’re all equals, non-hierarchical

   * only consensual acts, we do what we want, only 18 and over participants

   * we want to make porn that is hot

Our concerns are:

   * not wanting to undermine or discredit sex workers and for pay sites

   * not wanting to use language that excludes particular communities or
     that creates boundaries, i.e. getting away from us vs. them, we vs. you,
     other academic language

   * not perpetuating stereotypes

Our goals are:

   * working at our own pace, where we’re all comfortable, to develop a
     shared vision

   * a reading, study and research group the reading group is starting with
     Body Outlaws, Borderlands/ La Frontera, Ecology of Desire, Confessions
     of a Feminist Porn Star

   * film nights, starting with Live Nude Girls Unite and the Herstory of Porn

   * learning more about copyleft, free software, open source and creative
     commons

   * developing a more supportive community

• um… hanging out with each other…new faces…drinking wine…talking about porn. its a pretty damn good time.
